That is a pretty bold claim that it does all those things to a coating..How can it improve cross-link density?
Scentralock Odor Eliminator - Performance Enhancer
How can it improve adhesion? Lol..prep determines adhesion..Very hard to believe...

The statement you wrote citing "prep determines adhesion" is only part of the equation. If surface preparation alone determined adhesion, then every coating applied over a perfectly prepared surface would perform identically. Of course, that's not what happens in the real world.
We could prepare two porcelain tubs using the exact same cleaning, sanding, etching, coupling agents, and priming procedures. Then spray one with a professional two-component polyurethane and the other with ordinary latex house paint. Both surfaces received identical preparation.
Would anyone expect the latex paint to have the same adhesion, chemical resistance, solvent resistance, abrasion resistance, or service life?
Obviously not.
That simple example demonstrates that while preparation is critical, "coating chemistry ultimately determines performance". Professional coatings are engineered around complex resin systems, catalysts, cross-linking mechanisms, wetting characteristics, additives, coupling agents, flow modifiers, and numerous other components that all influence the final coating properties.
Regarding cross-link density specifically, we're not claiming to violate chemistry or magically create polymer that isn't there. The product is designed to influence the curing environment and network formation within compatible coating systems. This is well established science used throughout industrial coatings, automotive finishes, aerospace coatings, and other high-performance polymer systems.
Likewise, adhesion is influenced by much more than mechanical profile. Surface energy, wetting, resin compatibility, interfacial chemistry, and polymer network formation all contribute to the final bond. "Preparation creates the opportunity for adhesion."
Chemistry determines how effectively that opportunity is used. Our claims are based on extensive field testing by professional refinishers using compatible coating systems not on marketing slogans. As with any additive, results depend on the specific coating chemistry, mixing ratios, application procedures, and environmental conditions.
We certainly encourage healthy skepticism. That's how science advances. But skepticism should be directed toward understanding the chemistry rather than assuming that one variable surface preparation explains every aspect of coating performance.
